Nous avons rencontré Paula Rojo dans la première édition de La Voz en España, une émission de télévision dont le format avait déjà triomphé dans d'autres pays et qui l'a également fait ici.
La philosophie de La Voz était de trouver de nouveaux artistes et chanteurs ne regardant que leur voix. Cela signifiait que les possibilités étaient plus grandes pour certains et plus petites pour d'autres, puisqu'on ne pouvait pas voir leur style personnel, leur image ou leur façon de communiquer avec le public ou de se déplacer sur scène ; mais sans aucun doute, c'était la manière la plus juste, puisque tous étaient valorisés par leur Voix.
Paula Rojo n'était pas seulement la concurrente qui a conquis le jury avec sa voix douce et son ukulélé, mais elle était la chanteuse qui, dès sa première représentation, a rendu tout le public excité , y compris moi, en écoutant la chanson qu'elle avait composée poforteresse pour son petit frère . Une chanson pleine de douceur, d'affection, d'amour et de vérité.
Il est aujourd'hui en train d'écrire ces lignes et il me fait encore une petite bosse dans la gorge, parce qu'à chaque fois que je l'entends, je ne peux m'empêcher de ressentir ce sentiment d'amour (envers mes enfants ou mon frère avec qui j'ai aussi passé de nombreuses années). Et c'est qu'elle exprime si bien ce sentiment d'amour à première vue quand vous voyez une "petite chose" si petite qu'elle devient le centre de votre vie, les premières avances, les jeux, comme elle commence à parler, comme cette personne est à tous les moments importants.
Paula nous a aussi conquis pour son style d'habillement, si personnel, si doux et en même temps pour se sentir fier d'aimer un type de musique qui est loin de ce que les grandes masses préfèrent.
Et c'est ce qui le rend spécial, une décision si personnelle pour country-popmusique, un genre peu cultivé en Espagne, mais que Paula nous rapprochera dans chacune des chansons de son premier album ÉRASE UN SUEÑO.
Au cours de ce voyage très spécial à travers ses chansons, nous pouvons voir comment il nous raconte de nombreuses histoires personnelles, vécues avec ses amis et sa famille, dans son pays natal, dans son lieu de vacances ou lors de voyages à Londres et dans d'autres endroits où il pratiquait les langues.
Une jeune fille qui, dans sa courte carrière musicale, s'avère être une personne très normale, humble, drôle, solidaire et surtout une amie de ses amis et attentive et affectueuse avec tout le monde.
L'album est un succès retentissant , non seulement parmi ses nombreux fans, mais aussi à la télévision, car il ne faut pas oublier que sa chanson "Si me voy" a été la bande-son choisie par le programme Master Chef Junior. Une chanson au rythme de Country dans laquelle ses percussions nous font évoquer le son de l'équitation.
Ce thème a également été utilisé pour organiser une réunion de solidarité à l'école Las Teresianas à Oviedo, où les enfants ont payé le "verre de solidarité" de jus en faveur de Manos Unidas. Avec ce verre, ils feraient alors les percussions de la chanson de Paula ; une vidéo que nous pouvons apprécier sur son facebook.
Nous pourrons la voir dans d'innombrables concerts dans toute l'Espagne accompagné du guitariste Álvaro Bárcena et de la violoniste Silvia Carbajal..
Dans son album on trouve une multitude d'histoires, peut-être autobiographiques, d'amour et aussi de manque d'amour, d'amitié et une version de la célèbre chanson "Wake me up" à rtimo country, ou la chanson avec laquelle il s'est présenté au concours du vos "Chicken fried".
La vérité est que si je devais choisir entre les 16 chansons de leur premier album, je ne saurais pas laquelle choisir. "We will travel around the world" est une chanson qui me fait évoquer une partie de ma jeunesse, et c'est que "je sens que je ne suis ni plus ni moins où je veux être". Mais"Sounds like a Country" Je l'aime pour son rythme, pour la passion que je ressens pour le monde rural, pour la mémoire de l'un des grands de ce genre.
