Abbiamo incontrato Paula Rojo nella prima edizione di La Voz en España, un programma televisivo il cui format aveva già trionfato in altri paesi e che lo ha fatto anche qui.
La filosofia di La Voz era quella di trovare nuovi artisti e cantanti che guardassero solo la loro voce. Questo significava che le possibilità per alcuni erano maggiori e per altri minori, dal momento che non si poteva vedere il loro stile personale, la loro immagine o il loro modo di comunicare con il pubblico o di muoversi intorno al palco, ma senza dubbio era il modo più giusto, dal momento che tutti sono stati valutati dalla loro voce.

Paula ci ha anche conquistato per il suo stile di vestire, così personale, dolce e allo stesso tempo per sentirci orgogliosa di apprezzare un tipo di musica che è ben lontana da ciò che le grandi masse preferiscono.
E questo è ciò che lo rende speciale, una decisione così personale per country-pop musica, un genere poco coltivato in Spagna, ma che Paula ci porterà più vicino in ciascuna delle canzoni del suo primo album ÉRASE UN SUEÑO.
In questo viaggio molto speciale attraverso le sue canzoni, possiamo vedere come ci racconta molte storie personali, vissute con i suoi amici e familiari, nella sua patria, nel suo luogo di villeggiatura o in viaggio a Londra e in altri luoghi dove ha praticato le lingue.

Questo tema è stato utilizzato anche per tenere un incontro di solidarietà presso la scuola Las Teresianas di Oviedo, dove i bambini hanno pagato il "bicchiere di solidarietà" di succo a favore di Manos Unidas. Con quel bicchiere avrebbero poi realizzato le percussioni della canzone di Paula, un video che possiamo vedere sul suo facebook.

Nel suo album possiamo trovare una moltitudine di storie, forse autobiografiche, d'amore e anche di mancanza d'amore, d'amicizia e una versione della famosa canzone "Wake me up" a rtimo country, o la canzone con cui si è presentato al concorso del vos "Pollo fritto".
La verità è che se dovessi scegliere tra le 16 canzoni del loro primo album non saprei quale scegliere. "Viaggeremo per il mondo" è una canzone che mi fa evocare parte della mia giovinezza, ed è che "sento di non essere più e non meno dove voglio essere".
